Fun fact about teddy bears: The teddy bear got its name from an incident involving President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt in 1902. During a hunting trip in Mississippi, President Roosevelt was offered a wounded bear to shoot as part of the hunt. However, Roosevelt refused to shoot the bear, deeming it unsportsmanlike. This event was then depicted in a political cartoon by Clifford Berryman, which caught the attention of a toymaker named Morris Michtom.
